Mr. White talked about his book Roosevelt the Reformer: Theodore Roosevelt as Civil Service Commissioner, 1889-1895, published by University of Alabama Press. The author covers the 26th U.S. president’s first six years in Washington as a civil service commissioner. In addition to his career, Mr. White also described Roosevelt’s relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and adversaries. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
