In his book, Benjamin Rush: Patriot and Physician, published by Truman Talley Books, Alyn Brodsky examines the life and accomplishments of a lesser-known signer of the Declaration of Independence. Among the many achievements Mr. Brodsky discussed in this appearance were Rush’s reformation of the American penal system and his pioneering of psychology and preventive medicine, as well as Rush’s prominent role in the American Revolution.
