Mr. Tenent talked about intelligence gathering and reporting prior to the decision to engage in military operations in Iraq. He defended the CIA’s analysis and said that intelligence agencies gave policymakers objective, apolitical judgments on Iraqi weapons, including cautions about the degree of certainty over the information. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
