Steelworkers held a “get-out-the-vote” rally for Representative Gephardt at which various labor leaders spoke. Representative Gephardt spoke, focusing on healthcare, jobs, and international trade. He also displayed a baseball home plate that he was given by a union president in Fargo, North Dakota to symbolize the loss of jobs because of international trade policies. After the rally he answered questions from reporters.
