The three former officials spoke to a crowd of Dean supporters at Dubuque College. Former Vice President Gore and former Senator Harkin, who had previously announced their support for former Governor Dean, talked about their reasons for supporting his candidacy and urged voters to do the same. Former Governor Dean criticized President Bush on a number of issues, including taxes, the economy, North Korea, enriched uranium in the former Soviet Union, and the war in Iraq. After their speeches, the politicians met and talked with members of the audience.
