Mr. Hodel spoke before an audience at the Southern Republican Exchange, a conference of leading southern Republican leaders sponsored by the Southern Republican Association. The goal of the conference is to bring Republican leaders together to exchange initiatives in conservative government and policy making. Mr. Hodel spoke on public education, saying education is the key to the American spirit and is America’s greatest resource.
