Paul Krugman talked about his book, The Great Unraveling: Losing Our Way in the New Century, published by W. W. Norton. The book is a collection of his opinions columns. Mr. Krugman explained how he came to be an op-ed writer, and commented on some of the pieces included in his book. He talked specifically about President Bush’s tax cuts, the war in Iraq, the environment, Americans for Tax Reform president Grover Norquist, and House Majority Leader Tom Delay. Mr. Krugman was highly critical of many of the Bush administration’s initiatives. Following prepared remarks, he responded to questions from the audience.
