Civil rights activists and privacy advocates spoke about new airline security surveillance techniques and potential invasion of privacy as a result of new technology and regulations. Among the topics they addressed were various provisions in the Computer Assisted Passenger Pre-Screening System (CAPPS II), how information gathered on airline passengers, and future threats to civil liberties. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience.
