Californians held a rally in support of the recall of Governor Gray Davis. Some of the speakers, including Rep. Issa, are candidates for Governor Davis' post. On July 24 California Lieutenant Governor Bustamante had announced that sufficient petition signatures were obtained to set a recall election for October 7.

Telephone lines were opened for audience comments at the beginning and end of the rally, during which live shots were shown of the rally crowd.
