On Wednesday the House took up amendments to H.R. 3950, the Farm Bill. A number of amendments were introduced involving price supports and subsidies, food stamps and other programs. Rep. Conte introduced his amendment to limit payments to farmers who receive funds for the wool and mohair program. Loan deficiencies were discussed, as well as inventory reduction, and disaster assistance.
