Woodrow Wilson was America’s 28th president, serving for two terms. He was a professor of law at Princeton University, before going on to become president of the institution. He left that position to become the Democratic governor of New Jersey where he served until 1913 when he became president of the United States. Under his leadership, America joined with the allied forces in World War I. Wilson was perhaps best known for his post-WWI peace plan, called “Wilson’s 14 Points,” which included open treaties, freedom of the seas, and free international trading. The plan also included the formation of a body which later became known as the League of Nations. During his second term, he moved into a house on “S” Street in Washington, DC. Donated by his wife, the house has become a museum. A video tour of the library was given. close
