Diana Walker talked about her book Public and Private: Twenty Years of Photographing the Presidency, published by National Geographic. She was the Time magazine White House photographer from Jimmy Carter to George W. Bush. The 130 photographs in the book cover the public aspects of the office but also offer a look at the private moments of the presidents, the first ladies, and the important figures in each administration. Memories and perspectives contributed by the photographs' subjects, and Walker’s own anecdotes complement the photographs. Photographs from the book were shown as Ms. Walker talked about the choice of photographs and the circumstances in which they were taken. close
