Mr. Collender gave an overview of how the federal budget process works. He specifically looked at how the budget affects children and how the audience members can make it work better for children. He talked about domestic programs in the next budget cycle that will impact education, children, and families. He also explained what the National PTA members should be doing while attending their annual Washington, DC conference in order to make their legislators aware of the importance of education and children.
