Mr. Goldsmith, former mayor of Indianapolis, special adviser to the president for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, and author of Putting Faith in Neighborhoods: Making Cities Work Through Grassroots Citizenship, talked about citizen engagement and volunteerism as means to make cities safer. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
