Mr. Cook spoke to students about the political climate as the country approached 2002 midterm elections. Among the issues he addressed were changes in political stature resulting from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the role of the economy, and the impact of redistricting. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
