Edward Steers, Jr., talked about his book, Blood on the Moon: The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln, published by the University Press of Kentucky. He discussed the events that led up to the assassination of Abrham Lincoln on April 14, 1865. He also discussed his own conspiracy theory that John Wilkes Booth was neither mad nor alone in his act of assassination against President Lincoln. Mr. Steers theorized that he received the help of many, not the least of whom was Dr. Samuel Alexander Mudd, the Charles County physician who has been portrayed as the innocent victim of a vengeful government. Mr. Booth was also aided by the Confederate leadership in Richmond. close
