Attorney General Ashcroft spoke to reporters about evidence being turned over to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh’s defense lawyers. He said that the department had certified that all evidence had been turned over and that it did not affect the sentence in the case. Following his remarks he answered questions from the reporters.
