Mr. Freeh testified about funding requirements at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the delay in the execution of Oklahoma City bomber, Timothy McVeigh. He said the FBI had made a “serious error” by not turning over some evidence to defense lawyers in the case, but also said the recently discovered contained no information that would bring the verdict into question.
