Mr. Said talked about his book Reflections on Exile and Other Essays, published by Harvard University Press. This volume gathered nearly 50 essays, most on literary subjects, although Mr. Said also addressed philosophy and history, the arts and current events. He also concentrated on Middle East issues including the need for a Palestinian State, the history of the region, and his role in advocating the Palestinian point of view.
