Mr. Dawson is a 102-year-old man who learned to read and write at age 98. The book describes his life in the segregated South and his experiences before and after becoming literate. Kitty Harmon is the moderator of the forum called “It’s Never Too Late for Literacy.” The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience. close
