Mr. Buchanan talked about the impact of immigration on the country. He focused on how immigrants generally lack education and end up on the welfare system. 
He also spoke about how the high level of immigration reduces incentives for immigrants to assimilate into American culture. He stressed that changes must be made in immigration policy to slow down the present rate of immigration. After his prepared remarks he answered questions from the audience.
