Mr. Smyser, a former State Department official, talked about his book, From Yalta to Berlin: The Cold War Struggle Over Germany, published by St. Martins Press. He focused on his childhood in Berlin and his memories of World War II. He also talked about the struggle for German unity after the war. After his prepared remarks he answered questions from the audience.
