Mr. Callahan talked about the book Juneteenth, written by Ralph Waldo Ellison. The book is based on manuscripts from Ellison and Mr. Callhan edited the raw manuscripts to create a more coherent work. The book examines how a white senator and a black minister deal with racial integration. After his prepared remarks he took questions from the audience.
