Mr. Andrew announced that the convention would be held in Staples Center Arena in Los Angeles, CA. He criticized the Republicans for using 10 million more tax dollars to fund their convention than the Democratic National Committee. Mr. Leiwere and others expressed their appreciation that the Staples Center Arena has been chosen for the DNC convention site. Governor Davis commented on the advantages to Los Angeles of having the DNC convention in California. Former Governor Romer talked about the important ideas and values that would be discussed at the DNC convention.
