Kwame Ture, formerly known as Stokely Carmichael,

talked about his life as a civil rights and Pan-African activist. He also talked about the effect of the Vietnam war on the civil rights movement and the nation, his career as an activist and his view of a coming revolution in the United States. Mr. Ture was diagnosed with cancer and said he wished to go to Africa to spend his final days. Two speeches given by Mr.Ture in the 1960s were shown. close
