      <title>2007 Arizona Immigration Law</title>
      <description>Lawyers who opposed the 2007 Arizona law that penalized employers for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants and compeled businesses to check the immigration status of employees against federal records participated in an American Constitution Society discussion  of the law. The law is different from the 2010 Arizona state law requiring local law enforcement to check the immigration status of suspected illegal immigrants.</description>
