      <description>Matthew Shimura was interviewed on April 25, 2012, about his video, [The Constitution and the Camps: Due Process and the Japanese-American Internment]. The film was the grand prize winner in C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam documentary contest. He is a ninth grader at Punahou School in Honolulu. Senator Daniel Inouye (D-HI) also talked about Matthew's video, and his own view of this period in American history.
C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam video documentary contest was a national competition in which middle and high school students produced a documentary focusing on the significance of any provision of the U.S. Constitution.
Matthew participated by remote access from Hawaii.</description>

      <title>Childhood Obesity in the U.S.</title>
      <description>Matthew Shimura talked about his video, [Childhood Obesity: A Challenge Facing America] , the middle school section first prize-winning video. He is a seventh grader at Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii. 
C-SPAN's StudentCam is an annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think seriously about issues that affect our communities and our nation. Students are asked to create a short (5-8 minute) video documentary on one of the country's greatest strengths or a challenge the country is facing. The local cable company was Time Warner Cable.
Laura Hayman, University of Massachusetts College of Nursing and Health Services Associate Dean of Research, followed the interview by video uplink from Boston, Massachusetts and talked about the issue of childhood obesity and the current efforts to alleviate the problem. She also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.</description>

      <title>Michelle Obama on Childhood Obesity Prevention</title>
      <description>First Lady Michelle Obama and C-SPAN StudentCam Contest First Prize Middle School Winner Matthew Shimura talked about fighting childhood obesity, the subject of Matthew's video and part of Mrs. Obama Let's Move initiative. In addition, Mrs. Obama took calls from other students who submitted StudentCam videos about obesity.
Matthew attends the Punahou School in Honolulu, HI, a K-12 school. It is the largest coeducational, independent school on a single campus in the United States. President Barack Obama also attended Punahou School from 1971 to 1979 during his childhood years in Hawaii.
