      <title>National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Conference</title>
      <description>Rea Carey, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, gave her annual "state of the movement" address at the group's national conference. She noted victories for gay rights in the November 2012 elections and praised President Obama's remarks on the subject during his inaugural address. She also called on President Obama to sign an executive order protecting federal workers from discrimination based on sexual orientation and she vowed to fight for equal rights for transgender people in the military.
This was a keynote address at the 25th annual National Conference on LGBT Equality, held in the Grand Ballroom of the Atlanta Hilton.</description>
