      <title>War of 1812 in Art and Memory</title>
      <description>Curators Sidney Hart and Rachael Penman talked about a unique exhibition of portraits and objects representing the major personalities involved in the War of 1812. The collection was assembled at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery from the United States, Canada and Great Britain. They spoke about the significance of the war, its role in establishing a national identity, and the personalities that became American "heroes" as a result of their actions in the war.</description>

      <title>Evolution of the Vice Presidency</title>
      <description>Sidney Hart talked about the evolution of the office of vice president and the 14 vice presidents who became president. Almost a third of vice presidents have become president of the United States. He talked about the exhibition on the vice presidency at the National Portrait Gallery. Portraits of vice presidents were shown. The program opened with a video clip from interviews Mr. Hart did with former Vice Presidents Mondale, Cheney, and Bush talking about the role of the vice president. Mr. Hart responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.</description>
