Book Discussion on [The Outlaw Sea: A World of Freedom, Chaos, and Crime]

William Langewiesche talked about his book [The Outlaw Sea: A World of Freedom, Chaos, and Crime], published by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux. In his book he argues that the lack of security in the shipping industry is a possible breeding ground for terrorism. Mr. Langewiesche explained that the failure to police the sea will result in overwhelming pollution and other tragedies similar to the 1994 sinking of the Swedish passenger ferry Estonia, which killed 852 people in the Baltic Sea. After his presentation, Mr. Unger briefly interviewed Mr. Langewiesche before the author responded to questions from members of the audience.
