      <title>2000 Republican National Convention Day 4</title>
      <description>On the fourth and final day of the convention themed a "president with a purpose," participants expressed their support for Governor Bush and talked about several issues, including Social Security, Medicare, and minority issues. Following the conclusion of the roll call vote, Governor Bush was officially nominated as the Republican presidential candidate. After accepting the nomination Governor Bush he said that his campaign would seek to "renew America's purpose."  He said that his record as Texas governor proved he was poised to lead and that he would strive to empower all Americans.</description>
