      <title>Libertarian Party Presidential Convention</title>
      <description>The 2004 Libertarian Party convention was held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, from Thursday May 27 through Monday May 31. The party was founded in December 1971 in Colorado. Currently, 603 Libertarians hold public office. So far the Libertarian party is on the ballot in 27 states in 2004. In the past three presidential elections, the Libertarian party was on the ballot in all 50 states.
 
 The day's agenda calls for:  nomination of party candidate for president; nomination of party candidate for vice president; ratification of the national campaign platform; and election of the party chair. The party chose Mr. Badnarik as its 2004 presidential candidate. Some speakers were not identified onscreen.</description>

      <title>Libertarian Party Presidential Debate</title>
      <description>Three Libertarian presidential candidates debated a number of issues, including international trade, the war on terror, broadcast decency, and health care costs. Mr. Baxter moderated the debate. Candidates responded to questions from the moderator, and were also permitted to make opening and closing statements.
 
 Mr. Russo was interviewed following the debate, but due to technical difficulties the interview was stopped and the portion shown live was not included in the final program.
 
 The 2004 Libertarian Party convention was held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, from Thursday May 27 through Monday May 31.</description>
