      <title>Al-Qaida Influence in Yemen</title>
      <description>Panelists talked about the rise and influence of al-Qaida in Yemen and U.S. efforts to effectively tackle the terror group and its acts of violence. Ibrahim Sharqieh and Gregory Johnsen questioned whether this is an effective U.S. strategy to combat al-Qaida. Both agree there are many legal issues surrounding it. Sharqieh argues that Yemen is a hot spot for al-Qaida because it's very politically unstable.

      <title>Book Discussion on [The Counter-Terrorism Puzzle]</title>
      <description>Mr. Ganor talked about his book [The Counter-Terrorism Puzzle:  A Guide For Decision Makers], published by Transaction Publishers. In his book he suggested ways to end terrorism within the next two or three decades. Mr. Ganor argued that Islamic radical terrorists presented the biggest worldwide threat and that while the main goal of these terrorists was to change their own governments, they also targeted countries that oppose their agenda. Mr. Ganor's solutions included establishing a new Marshall Plan for the Middle East. After his presentation he responded to questions from members of the audience.</description>
