      <title>Miltiary Contingency Reserve Fund</title>
      <description>Witnesses testified on the contingency reserve fund request for Fiscal Year 2005 of 25 billion dollars for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Issues raised included the total amount of money that would be needed in Iraq, the flexibility of allocation built into the request, and the unusual format of the request.
 
 The committee also confirmed the nomination of Major General David H. Petraeus to be a lieutenant general and chief of the Office of Security Transition-Iraq.</description>
