      <title>2010 Census Results</title>
      <description>Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and Census Bureau Director Robert Groves released the first set of 2010 Census data. Secretary Locke in his remarks said that the Census was completed on time and under budget. The overall U.S. population grew 9.7 percent to 308.7 million, with growth continuing to be concentrated in the Southern and Western regions of the country. Nevada grew the most, up 35.1 percent from 2000. Ten states lost representatives in the House of Representatives, and eight states gained representatives, with Texas gaining the most.</description>
