      <title>Constitution Party Presidential Nominating Convention</title>
      <description>Delegates spoke about family, church, civil government, and delivered nominating  speeches for their two presidential candidates, Howard Phillips and Herb Titus. The party earlier had changed its name from the Taxpayers Party to the Constitution Party. The Stalker Family Singers performed. Mr. Titus, in an acceptance speech, praised his party for having two nominees and talked about the failure of the party to lure Senator Bob Smith, the importance of religion to the Constitution and the nation, and pledged to uphold the Constitution and renew the sanctity of the office of President of the United States.</description>
