      <description>The U.S. Institute of Peace hosted a discussion on the state of security forces in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and Syria. All four countries were in some state of political transition with the army, police and intelligence services playing different roles in each. Topics included enforcing civilian control over security forces, dealing with corruption and training options. The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience.
