Fact Checking the 2012 Presidential Candidates

Journalists predicted some of the deceptive statements that President Obama and Mitt Romney might make in the first of their three debates. Some of the subjects they talked about were Medicare, welfare reform, federal budget savings from ending the Iraq war, and gas prices. Following their discussion they answered questions from the audience. One of the audience members asked if fact checkers tended to point out inaccurate statements of Republican candidates more than those of Democrats.
