      <description>In the sixth of a series of life portraits of American presidents, the guests discussed the life and career of John Quincy Adams and responded to audience telephone calls. They also talked about Adams's wife, Louisa Catherine Adams. Mr. Fowler displayed the large collection of Adams papers and Ms. Walker discussed the many volumes of Adams's diaries. A teacher from John Quincy Adams Elementary School was interviewed by telephone. Mr. Byrd participated by remote connection from Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol.</description>
