      <title>[Abraham Lincoln] Book Party</title>
      <description>Former Senator George McGovern talked about his book [Abraham Lincoln: The 16th President, 1861-1865], part of the [American Presidents Series] from Times Books. Former Senator George McGovern, the 1972 Democratic presidential nominee, talked to guests as he signed books at Bernie Robinson's home near the U.S. Capitol building. Many of those attending the party got their start in politics during his 1972 campaign. Other topics included the campaign against hunger. Representative Jim McGovern, Senator Dick Durbin, and Representative Jo Ann Emerson joined former Senator McGovern in making formal remarks during the event. 
 
 George McGovern represented South Dakota in the United States Senate from 1963 to 1981 and was the Democratic nominee for president in 1972. His other books include [Ending Hunger Now: A Challenge to Persons of Faith] and [Terry: My Daughter's Life and Death Struggle with Alcoholism].</description>
