Mr. Mandelbaum cites Woodrow Wilson's Liberalism as the foundation on which these global ideals will exist. This notion called for a three-pronged approach, consisting of free market systems, the acknowledgement of democracy as the most effective government set-up, and a desire for peaceful co-existence among all nations.
