      <title>President Clinton Library and Museum</title>
      <description>Mr. David E. Alsobrook was interviewed about the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum. Among the topics he discussed were the book collection and the Oval Office collection, which included personal items of the former president. He said the library contains 80 million pages of presidential records, nearly 2 million photographs, and 82,000 museum artifacts. Mr. Alsobrook also described the architecture of the library and museum. During the interview, interior and exterior scenes of the library were shown.</description>

      <description>Mr. Weinstein moderated a town hall meeting of the directors of the presidential libraries on educational and outreach programs at the libraries, as well as public education programs and research opportunities at the libraries. All of the directors of the 11 presidential libraries discussed how the system works and how they contribute to American history. The panelists responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.</description>

      <title>Clinton Presidency, Class 1</title>
      <description>The first class of the series was an introduction to studying the Clinton presidency and to the 1990s. First Dr. Scranton lectured on "Why Study the Clinton Presidency."  Then Dr. Bass, a presidential scholar, gave a presentation on "How Political Scientists Study a Presidency."   Dr. Scranton interviewed Dr. Bass and he responded to student questions and comments. Dr. Scranton introduced Dr. Alsobrook, the  director of the Clinton Presidential Materials Project who was formerly at the Bush and Carter libraries. Dr. Ashbrook gave a presentation and led a discussion on "Presidential Libraries and the Materials they Contain."</description>

      <title>Life Portrait of George H. Bush</title>
      <description>In the fortieth in a series on American presidents, scholars discussed the life and career of George Bush. Among the issues they addressed were his naval service, his early political career, the influence of the Cold War and the end of the Cold War on his policies, and the Persian Gulf War. During the program video footage, still photographs and various other memorabilia from his administration were shown. A librarian from George Bush Middle School in Texas was interviewed and guests responded to viewer comments and questions.</description>
