      <description>Mr. Warren talked about George Mason's role in the Bill of Rights. Mason refused to sign the U.S. Constitution because it did not have a Bill of Rights. His Virginia Declaration of Rights was the model for the U.S. Bill of Rights. Telephone lines were opened for audience comments.
 
 Washington Journal devoted part of its programming to several historical events, sites, and documents from the American Revolutionary War era, including the Liberty Bell, Valley Forge, Battle of Yorktown, and the Bill of Rights. The guests also talked about the British perspective of the war.</description>

In the next segment, Mr. Warren, talked about editing President George Washington's papers and about cities named for Washington. In the next segment, Mr. Kennedy talked by remote connection about the latest alterations to Pennsylvania Avenue.</description>
