      <title>Washington Monday Journal</title>
<description>Throughout this program, features on the launching of a second C-SPAN School Bus appeared. The second bus would help to meet the demands of viewers across the country to have C-SPAN visit their communities. Several employees involved with the School Bus program talked about the importance of taking the network outside of Washington. Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Balz talked about current headlines. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Pleszczynski talked about current topics, including the presidential campaign. In the next segment, Ms. Kittleman talked by telephone about "Thomas," the Library of Congress' internet site. In the next segment, Mr. Warren, talked about editing President George Washington's papers and about cities named for Washington. In the next segment, Mr. Kennedy talked by remote connection about the latest alterations to Pennsylvania Avenue.</description>
