Vice President Gore also appeared via taped video and thanked the delegates for coming and praised them for the "tremendous work" they are doing. Mr. Grossman talked about the siginificance of youner people in politics and Mr. Smith talked about his experiences in politics. Following thier prepared remarks, both speakers took questions from the audience.</description>

      <title>Clinton White House Staff Appointments</title>
      <description>President-elect Clinton spoke amid a crowd of appointees to his White House staff in the Clinton transition offices in Little Rock to announce his choices for head of the Democratic National Committee and other positions remaining in his administration. DNC Chairman-designate Wilhelm, Assistant for Domestic Policy Rasco and Assistant for National Service Segal each spoke briefly on their agendas for their positions. Mr. McLarty then introduced the rest of the White House staff, who did not speak individually. Vice President-elect Gore also introduced members of his staff.</description>
