 This was the concluding part of the conference "Taming the Giant Corporation" held at the Carnegie Institute by Ralph Nader and The Center for Study of Responsive Law.</description>

      <description>Speakers outlined the cost of the conflict in Iraq in both human and economic terms. They also contrasted the price of war with the price of relief efforts for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. 
 
 The Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (A.N.S.W.E.R.) Coalition and other groups sponsored a rally to "End the War in Iraq and Bring the Troops Home Now."  As part of the rally, many attendees marched past the White House to demonstrate against the conflict in Iraq. The crowd was estimated to be between 150,000 and 300,000 by organizers and local officials.</description>

      <description>Live coverage of election results and election night activities was shown throughout the evening. At the end of the telecast no winner of the presidential election had been established with outstanding results in Ohio, Iowa, and New Mexico.
 
 Coverage included victory and concession speeches from state, federal, and presidential races; periods of open telephones for viewer reaction to unfolding results and events; and interviews with journalists and analysts. Several portions were provided by local television news.
 
 Graphics in the lower-third of the screen showed actual election results in various races tabulated by the Associated Press. In cases where a clear winner was established a check mark next to the name indicated a win.</description>
