      <title>After Words with Charles Rangel</title>
      <description>Representative Charles Rangel talked about his book, [And I Haven't Had a Bad Day Since: From the Streets of Harlem to the Halls of Congress], published by Thomas Dunne Books. The book describes his Harlem childhood, his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, his involvement in the Civil Rights Movement, and his nineteen terms as a congressman representing New York's 15th district. The guest interviewer was Jim Mills, a senior editor for Fox News.
 
 Since 1970 Rep. Rangel, a Democrat, has represented New York's 15th Congressional District, which comprises East and Central Harlem, the Upper West Side, Washington Heights and Inwood. He is chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee board of directors, and a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Mr. Rangel served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952, during which time he fought in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He is a graduate of New York University and St. John's University School of Law.</description>

      <description>Radio and television correspondents gathered for their annual dinner and awarded the Barone award to Ms. Judd for her coverage of the Clinton investigation. President Clinton then gave a tongue-in-cheek speech about his relationship with the press as a result of the investigation and impeachment trial. In a serious moment he called for China and other countries to not just adopt, but promote, a free press. Mr. Keillor then gave a humorous address about civility in which he spoke about the late Justice Blackmun, Governor Ventura, President Clinton, and a potential run for the Senate by Mrs. Clinton.</description>

CNN won the Barone award for its special program "The Money Trail: Democracy for Sale." Mr. Nealon provided the comedic entertainment. He made several comments about the allegations of sexual misconduct against President Clinton and performed his impression of Sam Donaldson. He ended his remarks with "Subliminal Man" comments about Washington politics.</description>
