Q&A with Mark Farkas

Mark Farkas was interviewed about his involvement in the production of the C-SPAN series "The Capitol." He described the production process for the special, and talked about how the program would provide a comprehensive look at the U.S. Capitol. During the interview portions of pre-taped footage of "The Capitol," as well as footage of video director Bob Reilly, producer Susan Bundock, and program editor Rick Stoddard, while filming and editing the pre-taped footage was shown.
The interview included a short, edited portion of the program special. The program was scheduled to air the following week and focused on the history, art, and architecture of the U.S. Capitol from its opening in 1800 to the present. It featured taped segments on the various public and private spaces in the building, tours, and personal stories about the Capitol from members of Congress, historians, journalists, and curators.
