      <description>Journalists and political communication scholars talked about analyzing presidential debates, focusing on what is important beyond "who won" and "who lost." They discussed debate formats, leadership traits, and candidates' grasps of the issues, among other topics. They responded to questions from tweets and members of the audience. Gene Policinski moderated.
Clips of prior presidential debates were shown and analyzed throughout the program.
"Beyond Wins and Losses: A Citizen's Guide to the 2012 Presidential Debates" was held at the Newseum by the National Communication Association and the First Amendment Center.</description>

In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Lapham and Mr. Terzian talked about current issues, including the budget debate and Quebec's upcoming referendum on independence. In the next segment, Ms. Groer and Ms. Gerhart talked about the "Reliable Sources" section in the [Washington Post], which covers Washington politics at a more personal level. In the final segment, Mr. Stoll and Mr. Buckley talked about the future of the Internet, how people can access government information on the Internet and the problems that will arise as more and more people use this technology.</description>
