The convention nominated David Cobb and running mate Pat LaMarche as their candidates for U.S. President and Vice-President. Several members of the Green Party and other associated parties and organizations spoke at the convention and voiced their support for the Cobb-LaMarche ticket. The Green Party of the United States was formed in 2001, a reincarnation of the Association of State Green Parties which started in 1996.
